      <image:caption>Now these are meant to be the good guys!  How can they be causing your bloating?  So, if you have overhauled your diet (and well done if you have) and suddenly started eating bigger amounts of these products then you may be struggling a bit.   Veggies that can cause this problem can include: onions, cabbages, broccoli &amp; sprouts (that age old Christmas Day problem).  Beans problems are often linked to a not very easy to digest carbohydrate called "raffinose" and it's also found in the above veggies too.   So raffinose may pass through your stomach &amp; small intestine without being properly broken down.  And then when it arrives in your large intestine, you gut bacteria (good and bad) may have a bit of a party with it.  This can cause it to ferment and produce various gases which cause….. you guessed it, - Bloating and perhaps some Flatulance too (as if life wasn't bad enough with the bloating.   Soaking, rinsing canned beans &amp; pulses, and really ensuring you don't skimp on the cooking time can really reduce your Bloating from these culprits as well as allowing your body time to get used to having them.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Gluten Free - What exactly is Gluten?</image:title>
      <image:caption>It’s a mix of several hundred distinct proteins in grains (mainly found in wheat, barley &amp; rye). The word gluten itself comes from Latin and means GLUE! Two of the main proteins found in wheat are called gliadin and glutenin. Gliadin enables bread to rise during banking and glutenin gives it elasticity so it stretches. When flour made from grinding these grains is mixed with water the two proteins combine and form gluten. Without water, gluten is not formed. Gluten gives the delicious chewy feel that can make eating it’s products fun, pleasurable and even addictive and makes us want to come back for more. Other common sources that people don’t always realise contain gluten are: Barley Bulgar, Couscous, Farro, Orzo, Rye, Spelt, Wheat Bran</image:caption>

      <image:caption>I’m Rosemary and I’ve been teaching Kinesiology since 2000.  I was asked by the Kinesiology Association (formerly the Association of Systematic Kinesiology) to step in and teach the four module Balanced Health, for another tutor who was taking time away for personal reasons.  (Balanced Health was the previous name for the Kinesiology Foundation when it was the shorter 4 module course.) I then went on to teach on the Practitioner Course in London with TASK (The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology) for several years with the then Senior Tutor - Stephanie Mills. Having moved to Scotland I built a successful practice which has enjoyed much success since 2004.  I’ve also taught the 6 Module Foundation (12 days) both as a modular course and also as a 12 day Intensive.</image:caption>
