We use products of the highest standard that are effective in use and are kind to the earth.
E.g. we use MoogWax and their specialist balms for the massage performed here. Made here in Scotland, the carbon footprint is small and the results are substantial. Ethical, vegan and sustainable products made in small batches. They specifically made the change to a Vegan beeswax alternative made from rice bran, castor wax and sumac as beeswax is now produced in an industrial way - often at the expense of bees in the wild. We are proud to use their products and our clients benefit from the blends of oils as well as the advanced massage techniques used.
Supplements
Many of the supplement companies used here, incorporate organic ingredients and the majority of them are vegetarian, vegan, food state, biofood, or whole food rather than made synthetically. The ethos and science that now occurs with the supplement companies used here is growing year on year and this shows in the positive ways our bodies utilises the nutrients as it recognises the ingredients as being food-based.
Stationary Products
Paper padded & corrugated envelopes, kraft paper tape are now used as much as possible when new postage items are required to post out supplements etc. We also endeavour to re-use packaging that comes in with our deliveries. Boxes and packaging materials not re-used by us are given to local companies that have larger deliveries than we have so they can reuse. We believe re-using with local companies where possible is even kinder than re-cycling.
PPE
Unfortunately, due to Covid, our waste did increase. While adhering to all recommendations, being mindful of waste is still present. Rosemary made the conscious decision before re-opening not to create further plastic waste by using individual plastic aprons for each client. Tunics are changed several times a day especially if close work has been done. All towels, table and pillow covers are placed in the laundry bin and removed from the premises at the end of each day for thorough washing. Masks are no longer been worn generally, however, Rosemary does have a stock of them so if you would feel happier to wear a mask during your session, she will happily supply you with one to wear and also wear one herself. The elastic ear holders are cut from them before going into the bin to ensure no wildlife will be harmed.
All chairs, massage table and other surfaces are still cleaned after each session as it cuts risk of cross contamination and reduces the transfer of any bacteria or virus.
