Kinesiology Diploma Training Course
A professional, grounded pathway into kinesiology practice
This Diploma is taught by me, Rosemary Tarrant, with over 20 years of clinical practice and extensive experience training kinesiology students in a supportive, real-world setting.
I love guiding students not only through the Diploma itself, but also as they grow in confidence and begin to shape their own professional kinesiology practice.

Who This Diploma Is For?
This Diploma is designed for those who feel drawn to practise kinesiology professionally and are ready to deepen their skills, understanding and clinical confidence.
It is suitable for students who have completed the Kinesiology Foundation (Modules 1–6 Plus the Optional Module 7) and wish to continue their training in a structured, supportive and professionally accredited environment.
Prerequisite
Please note: entry to the Diploma requires successful completion of the Kinesiology Foundation course (Modules 1–6), including all homework, case studies and assessments.
Course Structure & Commitment
The Kinesiology Diploma consists of:
170 hours of face-to-face training (24 full days)
12 modules, taught over two-day teaching blocks
Alongside in-person training, students complete the following:
Home study - allow 2–3 hours per week,
50 case study sessions - allow 1.25hr for each case study plus 45mins to type it up,
Written Assigments - allow 3 - 4 hrs per module to support your knowledge growth, integration and professional readiness.
This Kinesiology Diploma follows the course outline of the Accredited Pathway of the Kinesiology Association to become a professional Kinesiology Diplomate following successful completion of this Diploma, (Anatomy & Physiology and a Nutrition Diploma both at Level 3 standard, and a First Aid Certificate). We use their regularly updated manuals (most recent summer 2026) ensuring you receive the most up to date teaching.
This balance allows learning to unfold steadily while supporting real-world application.

Booking for this course will close on 28th Feburary to ensure your books etc are here ready for Day 1.
This Diploma is being run to avoid Winter weather in Scotland and is therefore shorter in duration but we cover the same amount of teaching days. An Additional 2 months is added on for completion of homework so all homework and case studies etc are to be completed by Feb 2028.
Location
The Diploma is taught in Selkirk, in the Scottish Borders, approximately halfway between Edinburgh and Newcastle.
This peaceful semi-rural setting offers a retreat experience alongside professional training. There are a range of nearby Airbnbs, small hotels and B&Bs, and many students choose to extend their stay to enjoy the surrounding towns, countryside, walking/cycling/horseriding/swimming activities and the welcoming local atmosphere.

• Associate membership of the Kinesiology Association for 12 months while studying

Accreditation & Professional Recognition
This Diploma is accredited by the Kinesiology Association (KA) and complies with — and exceeds — the Kinesiology National Occupational Standards (KNOS).
From January 2021, it is also accredited by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and recognised by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
On successful completion of the Diploma, including coursework, case studies and assessments — and once the required Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition and First Aid qualifications are in place — graduates may use the professional designation Dip KA.
Professional Registration Note (KA Requirements)
Students who complete the Diploma but have not yet completed Anatomy & Physiology and/or Nutrition and/or First Aid may use the title Certificate of Advanced Kinesiology (Cert KA) until all requirements are met.
